JIG Class: Former Graduate (2013)

I joined Jungheinrich in 2013 and graduated from the JIG program in 2015. Currently I am working as Head of Service Sales in our South German branch.
To be honest, I was expecting a lot. At first, a new company with its own core values and aims. For me personally it was a big shift as it was my first step into the engineering industry. It was especially intriguing to be able to get a grasp of different departments and their interrelations in a multinational company like Jungheinrich. I was also particularly looking forward to personal advice by mentors and encounters with co-workers.
I am happy that I joined the program because it offers a challenging but also very promising work environment. As a JIG you are able to build a strong network and benefit from a very supportive human resources department.
My personal highlight was my assignment in Singapore. Being able to develop analysis for different Asian markets has been enriching professionally but even more so personally. I also enjoyed the joint graduate project, in which all Graduates were collaborating on a global scale.
Jungheinrich as a company is experiencing a time of change with ambitious corporate targets. As Jungheinrich employee you actually can make a difference and you will find an open-minded work culture, a passionate team and a professional approach to growth. I would also like to point out that people are motivated to switch departments or take on international assignments, which I feel is very encouraging.
