As a tradition at Jungheinrich, every graduate group gets an interdisciplinary team project. We got the chance to present Jungheinrich International Graduate Program (shortly called JIG) online by sharing our experiences from different assignments and team events. Other objectives of such a JIG website are showing career paths of our successful former graduates (JIGs) and giving detailed information about the organizational part of the JIG program.
So now, 9 months after our project started, we all come together in Hamburg to give our final project presentation. It has been a long time of hard work: Skype conference calls, creation of testimonials and technical preparations. After these 9 months, we feel like this website is our lovely baby. :)
Every time we start a new project, it’s an exciting challenge. We had to research a lot of information about how to create online blogs, what information we would like to present to society, what people would like to read about our 2 years journey. And this time the process was even more interesting, because we were all located in different countries with different time zones - biggest difference was 8 hours.
At our project kick-off in October 2016 we divided us into 4 groups, so everybody could concentrate on their specific tasks. Some of us were focusing on technical solutions, some on the content of the page and ways of keeping our blog alive and running for a long time after its launch. There we were in June 2017 in the headquarters of Jungheinrich in Hamburg showing the results of our work to other graduates from JIG classes before and after us. We all felt nervous and at the same time proud of what we have achieved.
During the presentation we had a Blog Go-Live ceremony and an exciting virtual tour from idea to implementation of our website. We handed it over to the next JIG class so they will now care of our «baby».
