With representatives from all over the world like Singapore, Russia, China, France, Italy, Germany, Jungheinrich embarks on a cooking challenge. An international cooking team. It sounds like a recipe for success. Coming off from a day full of training and workshops, the participants are all ready to unwind and enjoy a good meal. The only catch is that we are the ones ensuring that the meal is good.
The Menu for the evening is;
We split into 4 different teams, each to work on the different courses of the dinner itself. We were fortunate enough to have a professional Chef leading us.
Most of us have never experienced working in the kitchen with a professional Chef leading the team so it was quite a moment for us. Onions were chopped, eggs were beaten, potatoes were peeled, enough tasks to go around for everyone.. None of us want to disappoint, so we have some standards to meet.
Nonetheless, the atmosphere was relaxed and everyone was having fun. The Chef was a humourous character so that added to the fun atmosphere. One can imagine how it would be like if he’s like Gordon Ramsay in Hell’s Kitchen.
The moment of truth finally came when it was time to have our wonderfully prepared meal. The best news came when everyone started giving their sounds of approval upon tasting the food prepared. Everyone really enjoyed the dinner and we were all proud of ourselves coming together and exceeding expectations. It helps to be guided by a professional chef. It was quite an experience to learn and watch him prepare the meals (the times when he assisted to save us from kitchen disasters).
The evening event ended off really nicely and the short evening was spent by having a nice stroll back to the hotel. We can all afford the exercise after the wonderful meal. Happy and contented, we went back to rest up and prepare ourselves for the tomorrow’s challenges.
